Biology

In general, frogs prefer a wetter environment than toads.

  • Droppings will contain insect parts but will lack the white-nitrogenous cap characteristic of reptiles.

  • Noise nuisance.
  • Although rare, high populations are road hazards.

  •  mowing or removal of emergent plants in water areas.
  • Insect control to remove food supply

American Toads

  • Cut the grass shorter

  • Pit traps
  • hand capture
  • egg mass removal
